A.P.C. & VANESSA SEWARD

Vanessa Seward, in her sixth and final collaboration with A.P.C. before launching her eponymous brand, continues her obsessive pursuit of the perfect wardrobe. Last winter’s “stewardess” style has been updated in blue, white and red for the summer version. Denim remains a current focus, and the now-iconic Jean Victoire comes in a white version this season, along with a pencil skirt. This season’s print, a reference to the world of music, so dear to A.P.C., was created by artist Jason Glasser, himself a singer and composer. The blue and white drum pattern on a red background brings a 50s twist to a shirt dress and a silk crepe blouse. The classic codes of couture are reinterpreted with the use of guipure for a dress and a top made in a very A.P.C. way : yielding graphic, ultra-pure lines. For each collection, Vanessa Seward features lamé. This time, a salmon-pink panther motif evokes makeup on the skin. A pair of flesh-coloured leather sandals, designed together with TangoLeike in Buenos Aires, complements the summer 2015 silhouette.
